Buckle fracture – one side of the bone is compressed, causing the other side to bend especially in children.

The treatment or surgery for each type of fracture depends on the site and severity of the injury for fracture clinic. A simple break of bone may be treated with a sling, ice and rest. A more complicated break requires surgery to realign the broken bone and to implant plates, wires, nails or screws to maintain proper alignment for healing.
