Hande Hospital Hosts Beneficial Medical Camp for Shenoy Nagar Conservancy Workers and Corporation Health Office Employees
The Inner Wheel Club of Madras organized a Medical Camp at Hande Hospital on September 27, 2023, exclusively for the benefit of Shenoy Nagar Conservancy workers and Corporation Health Office employees.
The hospital’s laboratory had conducted blood tests the previous day at the Corporation Office, which included Random Blood Sugar, HbA1C, and a Complete Blood Count with ESR. Upon arriving at the camp, the following morning, participants received their blood reports, underwent ECG tests, and received comprehensive physical examinations by the hospital physician. If deemed necessary, individuals were provided with multivitamins, calcium, and nutritional supplements and were referred to their regular physicians for any further required follow-up care.
A total of 31 individuals attended this commendable medical camp. Remarkably, the medical professionals uncovered significant health findings among the attendees. Roughly one-third of those present were known diabetics who were not adhering to their prescribed medication regimen, resulting in elevated HbA1C levels. Moreover, 15% of participants were identified as pre-diabetic, while 10% suffered from anemia.
Additionally, one lady in attendance exhibited an irregular heart rhythm. Demonstrating their commitment to the community’s well-being, The Inner Wheel of Madras generously provided each attendee with substantial ration bags filled with essential food supplies.
